LEED-based energy modeling

EQUA has developed an add-on module to IDA ICE that simplifies energy modeling according to the Building Performance Rating Method. The method, which is defined in ASHRAE 90.1-2010, appendix G, is used e.g. in LEED projects and means that the actual (proposed) building is compared with a US building code-based reference (baseline) building. In the course, we go through the module's functions and features, and also we model a few different types of projects and systems.

 About the presenter

Pär Carling holds a Technical Licentiate degree in HVAC Technology from KTH and has previously worked at ÅF and Skanska. He has 20 years of experience in modelling and measurement monitoring of buildings. Pär divides his time between training, support and testing of IDA ICE, as well as consulting work in simulation and operational optimisation.
